This location is perfect for people who fond of hiking/trekking, healthy lifestyle and who love our beautiful nature. There are a lot of hiking routes with different levels of difficulty in the mountains nearby Almaty. And we invite you to a hiking in Ile-Alatau mountains through Kok Zhailau plateau with visiting Big Almaty Lake and comfortable night accommodation in a 3-bed cozy modular house with a terrace located in the picturesque mountain gorge.
Kok Zhailau is a high-mountain plateau on the territory of Ile-Alatau National Nature Park, located from east to west between Small and Big Almaty Gorges 10 km far from the city of Almaty. The height of the plateau is 1450–1740 m above sea level.
The Kok-Zhailau plateau, due to its location, is one of the most accessible and favorite recreation places of Almaty residents, who are fond of hiking, cycling, skiing.

The turquoise surface of the Big Almaty Lake shines among the majestic Trans-Ili Alatau mountains at an altitude of 2500 m above the sea level. As a result of the earthquake, the mountains formed a gorgeous lake, the beauty of which will forever remain in your heart and which has long been one of the symbols of Almaty.
In March 2020, the road to the BAL has been closed for an indefinite period due to the appearance of gullies and landslides in some sections. At the moment, tourists can get to the Big Almaty Lake only on foot. But we have found a solution how to get to the Lake by car.

- 13:00 Lunch at the plateau
- 16:00 Pick-up at the end of the hike and ride to the place of accommodation
- 16:30 Accommodation in the picturesque mountain gorge
- 17:30 Dinner, rest, campfire
Day 2
- 09:00 Breakfast
- 10:00 Check-out, pick-up
- 10:00 - 10:30 Car trip to Big Almaty Lake
- 10:30 - 12:00 Big Almaty Lake, walking, enjoying the views, visiting several photo spots
- 12:00 - 13:00 Way back to Almaty
- 13:00 Drop-off

BOOKING TERMS
Prepayment (10% - 30% deposit for the Private tours, 30% - 50% deposit for the Group tours) of the tour cost is required to confirm your booking. The remaining amount can be paid at the start of the tour.
CANCELLATION POLICY
PRIVATE TOURS
- Customers can change the details or cancel the booking no later than 72 hours before the start of the tour with the possibility of a 70-90% refund of the tour cost. After this time, no refund is possible.
GROUP (SHARED) TOURS
- Customers can change the details or cancel the booking no later than 24 hours before the start of the tour/activity with a full refund of the tour cost. After this time, no refund is possible.
- A minimum number of tourists and suitable weather are required. If these criteria are not met, the tour/activity will be canceled no later than 48 hours before the start and customers will be offered a different date/tour or a full refund.
Any tour/booking can be canceled in case of force majeure with a full refund.
