Oi-Qaragai ski resort
This resort is ideal for a smooth entry into winter activities such as skiing or snowboarding. There are no extreme "black" trails, and the slopes are ideal for beginners. The highest point is 1820 meters and the maximum slope is 35 degrees. The trails are simple and accessible, so skiers with families often come here.
For guests there are trails with a total length of 22 kilometers, 6 rental points for ski equipment and equipment, an outdoor food court, 5 minimarkets and 4 restaurants.
Aq-Bulak ski resort
Located in a picturesque gorge near Talgar. A distinctive feature of this location is the variety of difficulty levels of the trails. Both beginners and experienced fans of winter extreme sports can master skiing or snowboarding here. Part of the descent here passes through a wooded area, between majestic fir trees.
The highest point of the slopes is 2664 meters, and the maximum slope here reaches 55 degrees. Cable lifts lead to the slopes. The longest trail is 2.5 kilometers long. The upper part of the trails belongs to the category of medium difficulty called "red" trails. They are suitable for experienced skiers. For real thrill-seekers, a "black" trail is offered.
The lower part, 700 meters long, belongs to the "green" and is available for beginners.
Shymbulak ski resort
Popular ski resort in Kazakhstan, 50 minutes away from Almaty city center, located on the Trans-Ili Alatau ridge a little higher than the Medeu high-mountain skating rink.The highest point is 3200m above sea level.
The elevation difference is 1000m, the average width of the tracks is 25m, the slope is 11-29°.
The resort is well suited for those who are confident skiing or snowboarding. There is the possibility of off-piste skiing. There are ski lifts, chair lifts and closed gondola lifts.
